EFFECTIVE DEC. 1, 2011

SERVICE PACKAGE 1, NEW FEE SCHEDULE!

SERVICE PACKAGE 2, FIRST-EPISODE SCHIZOPHRENIA CASE STUDY SERIES!

Our clinic protocol is a Targeted Orthomolecular Treatment regimen. This means that we assess cases individually and target the treatment based on lab findings and presenting symptoms. Consistent with the approach of other clinics focusing on a specific area of medicine, our fees are based on: the assessment and management services provided by the practitioner and staff, lab test costs, the complexity of medical decision-making, and the time spent developing protocols that ensure we stay on the cutting edge of orthomolecular clinical modalities.

To help patients adhere to the supplement program, we provide individualized pill and powder formulations. In complex cases a support network is strongly encouraged: family, friends, social workers, counselors, psychologists, general practitioners, psychiatrists, and other medical professionals.

SERVICE PACKAGE 1 (INCLUDES 1ST & 2ND VISIT)

In the 1st visit we spend up to 3 hours if needed to go over all aspects of your condition. We educate clients to help them understand what is happening to them and why. Prior to the first visit you are required to fill out patient history and other forms which are unique to our clinical practice. During the first visit we do a non-invasive physical exam to assess adrenal, thyroid, digestion and other body system considerations. At the end of the visit you are provided with our blue folder containing helpful information and your protocol handouts. It also includes a typed one page plan that summarizes everything you need to do regarding nutrient doses, dosing times, lab tests, diet changes, etc. as discussed during the first visit.

We provide clients complementary glass non-mercury thermometers to assess their oral body temperature; this helps us assess the efficiency of thyroid metabolism. We also provide clients with complementary iodine patch tests to help assess iodine status, which is also important to thyroid metabolism. We provide complementary zinc packets for copper response testing. Finally we provide a complementary full-size calendar for you to easily monitor your progress as you introduce our targeted protocol.

The standard testing done at the first visit includes:

·      Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis Panel   ·      Copper Panel   ·      Methylation Panel  ·      Protein/Electrolyte Panel

·      Thyroid Panel    ·     Liver Panel   ·      CBC Panel   ·      Iron Panel  ·      Vitamin D   ·      Glucose   ·      Urinalysis

In the 2nd visit we spend up to 2 hours to assess and treat your case based on lab results obtained after the first visit. We present you with a copy of all results summarized in a ledger format that is easy to follow.

We implement case management between visits as a complementary service. This is often missing in orthomolecular protocols, but we have found it imperative to enable you to achieve your goals. Complementary phone calls ensure that you are compliant and help you clarify any aspects individual to your case. You will receive a phone call from Misha, our case manager, one week after your first and second visit. Case management provides clients with the ONE-ON-ONE ATTENTION that keeps them motivated and on track.
