CLINIC SERVICES
What to expect
THE PLAN
Each patient receives an individualized plan that lays out their nutritional prescription with dietary and supplement suggestions. We also provide patients with handouts and resources specific to their case. Each nutritional plan is based on the assessment of lab tests, presenting symptoms, and the patient history.
TREATMENTS
Treatments are based on the individual. Biochemical imbalances are common in Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, and Mood and Behavior disorders. Key imbalances are identified through lab testing, symptoms and a detailed patient history. In addressing these imbalances it is important to consider diet, protein intake, sugar imbalance, food allergies, essential fatty acid deficiency, nutrient deficiencies such as B6 loss, vitamin C deficiency, and zinc availability, heavy metal toxicity, methylation status, and thyroid/ adrenal imbalance.
CASE MANAGER
For optimum results compliance is key and we realize the importance of providing support to our patients. In order to help patients adhere to their program, a case manager is available, at no extra cost, to aid them in following their plan. The case manager is there to answer any general questions and to provide any needed clarification regarding the plan. The case manager will provide reminders for follow-up appointments as well as reminders for any lab testing if needed. We find a case manager is beneficial in helping patients to stick to their plan and to ensure a positive health experience with our clinic.
APPOINTMENTS
Upon booking a first appointment a first visit package will be sent out (or if preferred, the forms may be downloaded from our website after an appointment is booked. Clients will be given a password). All formwork needs to be filled out and brought in to the first visit. During the first visit a thorough patient history including a physical assessment will be taken and there will be a discussion of any previous diagnoses and lab work that may have been done. We encourage patients to bring in a list of any supplements and medication they may be on or have taken in order to help with a thorough assessment. At the end of the first visit a recommendation for any lab work deemed necessary will be given along with the start of an individualized plan to be followed. The second and follow up visits are to go over all the lab work results, to assess symptoms, and to make any needed adjustments to the individualized plan.

SUPPLEMENT PROTOCOLS
We individualize supplement protocols based on patient history, symptoms and lab testing. For patients who may not be accustomed to taking several vitamins we have the option of custom compounded formulas. These formulas are individualized specifically for the patient and custom compounded to include all or most of any supplements they may be prescribed. These formulas can help with compliance as they may be put into capsules or left as a powder which can be added to juice, yogurt or a smoothie.
