Consults (HST Exempt)

Most consult and lab fees are covered under your extended health care benefits plan.  Please consult your benefits manager for detailed information on your personal health care coverage.  We provide invoices suitable for insurance provider reimbursement.

First Visit - What to expect

You will be asked to fill out history and consent forms in advance.

In this visit we obtain consent for lab testing and treatment, discuss and assess patient history and symptoms, develop a supplement and diet plan to start, requisition blood tests, collect a hair sample and complete a complaint oriented physical exam.

Second Visit - What to expect

In this visit we discuss the nutritional imbalances determined by lab, develop a hierarchy approach to treatment, provide an individualized plan, requisition tests needed to assess progress, and monitor physical exam components as needed.

Included in the cost of this visit we create a preliminary supplement & diet plan in advance of the visit.  The preliminary plan streamlines the visit and cuts down on the time needed to assess and prescribe.

Follow Up Visit - What to expect

In these visits we discuss the progress in correcting your nutritional imbalances, reassess your main concerns, consider next levels of treatment, provide an individualized plan, requisition tests needed to assess progress, and monitor physical exam components as needed.

Included in the cost of these follow-up visits we create a preliminary supplement & diet plan in advance of the visit.  The preliminary plan streamlines the visit and cuts down on the time needed to assess and prescribe.

Acute Phone Consults - What to expect

Acute consults are available between visits if needed, to answer follow-up questions or to discuss new concerns.  Acute consults do not replace in-person visits.

There is no fee for your initial acute phone consult.

Lab

First Visit Lab Testing - What to expect

The following tests are requisitioned at the first visit.

Blood and urine tests ordered at the first visit look at methylation (B12 metabolism), thyroid imbalance, heavy metals, protein breakdown, mineral deficiency (including zinc, copper, iron), vitamin deficiency, sugar imbalance, liver metabolism, cholesterol status, and more.  These blood and urine tests are HST exempt.

hair mineral/metal test sample is collected at the first visit and looks at raw mineral and heavy metal levels and important body system ratios as indicators of what’s going on inside the cells of your body.  This test gives us a good look at copper/zinc opposition, calcium dominance/deficiency, fast/slow metabolizing states, thyroid/adrenal imbalance, protein breakdown, heavy metal toxicity, sugar imbalance, and more.

Second Visit & Follow Up Visit Lab Testing - What to expect

We requisition those tests of the initial battery that need to be monitored to advance your treatment.  Both blood and hair testing are recommended for responsible follow-up assessment.  Samples are collected 2-3 weeks in advance of the follow-up visit.  A simple home kit is provided for hair mineral test collection.

Typically the cost of follow-up lab testing is ¼-½ the cost of the initial lab battery.  As treatment progresses these costs decrease.  Advanced more complex cases may require more specialized testing.

Supplements

What to expect

Supplement costs vary depending on patient budget and need.  A plan is created based on the hierarchy of your supplement needs as determined through lab testing and assessment.

Custom encapsulated or powdered formulas are compounded for clients that want to streamline their treatment and reduce pill volume. Many clients find these formulas make the protocol much easier to do.

Exclusive supplements are often available through us and are available to provide you with the best of care in addressing your individual needs.

When you are ready, please call us or book online.  Contact our Clinic Reception to speak to us about booking an appointment. You can also schedule a complimentary 15 minute discussion with Dr. Pataracchia, a service available for new patients, to see if we are a good fit for you.
